Manning Leonard speculates on p. 35 of the Solomon Leonard Genealogy that she was possibly the youngest daughter of John Leonard of Springfield. "He was intimate with the family of John Leonard of Springfield who were relatives; the youngest daughter, Deborah, has never been traced, perhaps this was she. It is believed that they had a daughter Abigail, though no record or birth or baptism has been found. The church records give the baptism of a daughter Phebe 17 October 1703." Current info is that Deborah, daughter of John Leonard of Springfield, married Gabriel Luff of Long Island.

Was he the Enoch Leonard of Mendham, Morris Co., NJ, who made a will September 16, 1757 in which he bequeaths to his wife Elizabeth all his New England estate, clearly indicating the original birthplace of his ancestors? Manning Leonard mentions an Enoch Leonard conveying to Solomon Leonard "the homestead where I live" 14 Feb 1737. On 17 Apr 1744, Enoch Leonard and wife Abigail (note) deed to Sylvanus Blossom "20 acres of our homestead." This Enoch was of the Solomon line. Will mentions grandson John Arnold under age. Robert Arnold sole exr. S 16, 1757. Proved Oct. 19, 1757. He moved to Mendum, NJ, with other Leonards.

An Enoch Leonard is also listed as marrying Elizabeth Hayward 27 Feb 1706. Misspelling?

Enoch had only 2 children, Enoch and Elizabeth, according to Chilton SB. Enoch Leonard had person sources.1
