According to the Thacher-Thatcher Genealogy, she was the daughter of Jonathan Gulliver and wife of John Gulliver.

18 Sep 1759 - Lydia Leonard, dec., 2nd wife to our father James Leonard, mentioned by James and Mercy Leonard, Jonathan Leonard, William and Mary Thayer, Joseph and Elizabeth Harvey, and Abijah and Jerusha Hodges, all of Taunton, heirs at law of Lydia. Given the marriage date, this could not have been the Lydia Gulliver who married James Leonard in 1726 and died in 1734. This part of the family should be checked carefully. Lydia wouldn't have married at age 5.

This Abiah is sometimes confused with the Abiah who married (1) John Nelson and (2) Mark Haskell. Doublecheck!

This Abiah appears to be member # 703 of the First Church of Middleborough: "703 Oc. 11, 1807, Abiah Sears, w. of Leonard, 1st h. Sebra Simmons, o. Leonard, dau. Joseph, d. 1828, ae. ab't. 55." This may be in error. Abiah Leonard, daughter of an earlier Joseph Leonard, married Ephraim Hackett 9 Feb 1761 in Middleborough. Also, the marriage would have occurred just before Abigail died.

Not in 1790 Census for Middleborough. This may or may not be the right birthdate; Middleborough VR's don't identify parents in this case. GML wrote in that this Simeon, son of Joseph and Abigail, died in infancy. He sometimes gets confused with Zadock Leonard's son Simeon, also born in 1780, and is sometimes given that Simeon's death date (12 Jun 1823). Simeon Leonard had person sources.1
