George Washington Burt Leonard and Daniel Leonard are said by Lothrop "perhaps to be sons of James Leonard and Eunice Smith." Same in Field Genealogy. George Washington Burt Leonard was born in 1815 to William Leonard and Dinah Burt according to other records.. Same in Field Genealogy.

Sutton VR's show a marriage of September 2, 1805 of a Daniel Leonard and Sibyl Davis of Douglas. Which Daniel?

There's another George W. Leonard born in 1810, d. 2 Sep 1852 -- think there's an error here. That George is the son of Job Leonard and Susannah Wilbur, rather than James Leonard and Eunice Smith or Daniel Leonard and Sibel Davis. stepson?

He was a farmer living in Raynham at the time of the 1850 Census, which lists his children: Cordelia 13, Melvin 11, George E., 9. He was called George W. Leonard in the marriage record of his son Joseph to Laura Goff.

According to Raynham VR, he died of consumption (TB).

Biography

Zebulon Field was born on 23 August 1707 in Bridgewater, Plymouth County Massachusetts. He and Anna Williams were married on 14 November 1733 in Bridgewater, Plymouth County Massachusetts. He and Patience Wetherell were married on 22 February 1750 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He died on 1 July 1797 at age 89 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He was buried at North Taunton Cemetery in Taunton, Massachusetts.
He left his pew in North Taunton Baptist Church in his will. His children, according to his will, were: Richard Field, Zebulon Field, Nathaniel Field, James Field, John Field, Jude Field, and Solomon Field, sons, and then daughters Elizabeth Presho, Anna Woodward, Zibiah Dean, Mary Knapp, Hannah Wilbore, Wealthy Leonard, Rachel Field, Saray Field. Patience Field, and Ruth Field.

He had a total of 16 children, 6 by Anna, his first wife.

Zebulon Field and Anne granted land to William Leonard (1739 - 26:285), Samuel Leonard (1739 - 27-561), and William Leonard (1746/7 - 34:478), Zebulon Field, Jr. to Samuel Leonard 71:339. Which William, which Samuel? Why were the grants made?

A later very complex set of land sales involving Richard Field, Zebulon Field, Elizabeth Presho, Mary Knap Zibiah Dean and Anne Woodward, and later included James Leonard, son of William Leonard and Sarah Bolton and his son James who married Eunice Smith. Neither James could have been the husband of Wealthy Field, according to the Field Genealogy (1901), p. 236.

The children and grandchildren of this Zebulon intermarried with various Leonards, including two generations of Sarahs, a Lucinda, a Charity (was she a Leonard or a Lincoln?), and a Sylvester. It is difficult to keep them all straight. Most of the Leonards came from the Seth Leonard and Ruth Hoar branch. And the later Leonard generations picked up some of the names from the Fields, such as Bethuel, Jesse, Pardon, etc. Zebulon Field had person sources.1
