He was involved in some land transactions in Suffield and Blandford in the 1730's. See History of Blandford.
There is apparently some confusion around which Ebenezer was the son of Benjamin. "Descendants of John Scott" has this Ebenezer the son of Benjamin. "The Giles Memorial" has him the son of Joseph. Donald Lines Jacobus has the Benjamin Leonard b. 10 January 1696/7 as the one marrying Martha Miller. Thomas B. Warren also questioned this in 1896 and came to the same conclusion. I've chosen to go with the Jacobus and Warren version. Date of death on grave stone seems to confirm this.
Apparently the records of Saybrook, CT, list the marriage of Martha and Ebenezer as 22 Mar 1722 (GML, chart T-12B). Ebenezer Leonard had person sources.

Is this the Ebenezer Leonard who lived for a time in Westville, Franklin Co., NY, where he owned a hotel? He died before 1871, when his heirs sold the hotel. Joel Leonard, who committed suicide in 1863, also ran a hotel in Westville.
Ebenezer was a member of the anti-slavery society.
