Biography

Samuel Seabury was born on 10 December 1640 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.¹ He and Patience Kemp were married on 16 November 1660 in Duxbury, Massachusetts. He and Martha Pabodie were married on 4 April 1677 in Duxbury, Massachusetts. He died on 5 August 1681 at age 40 in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

He was a physician. His will gave his property in Duxbury, to son Joseph, "those great silver buttons, which I usually weare;" to son John my birding piece and musket; "I will that my negro servant Nimrod (valued at 27 pounds) be disposed of either by hier or sale in order to the bring up of my children, especially the three youngest now borne."

If he was born in December 1650, there's no way his father could have died in 1649. Samuel Seabury had person sources.²

She's no. 622 (p. 83) in the George Soule silver book. Paul at the Mayflower Society marked her as "no papers." George Soule book lists Hannah, but not her husband.

He and Rejoice Brownell were married on 25 May 1730 in Tiverton, Rhode Island.¹ He and Sarah Waite were married on 9 May 1736 in Portsmouth, Newport County, Massachusetts. He and Rebecca Grinnell were married on 25 August 1773 in Tiverton, Newport County, Rhode Island. He died in April 1784 at age 78 in Tiverton, Rhode Island.²

Possibly the son of Joseph Macomber, will dtd. May 29, 1765, mentions Benjamin and Jonathan, May Joanna Sarah Abigail. Benjamin's will mentions wife Rebeckah Macomber, "who received goods she brought to me at our marriage." RIGR Jan 83 p. 272.

A Benjamin Macomber died April 1784 in Tiverton, per records of Constant Hart, see Genealogies of RI Families, Vol II, p. 648.

Alternative death date: 6 Mar 1783 in Tiverton.
