Mary Nicholls were married on 14 November 1813 at St Mary's in Handsworth, Birmingham, Warwick, England. He died on 20 February 1877 at age 84 in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio.
James was an iron worker and also a lay minister in the Methodist Church. James worked at the iron mills in PA. He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Youngstown at the time of his death. He owned 100 acres in Huntingdon Co. in 1844.
In the 1850 Census, they were living in Woodbury, Blair Co., PA; in the 1860 Census in Fairfield, Westmoreland Co., PA; in the 1870 Census, Hickory, Mercer Co., PA.
Parents are an educated guess on my part. Check again.

They had 7 children, of which 6 were still alive at the time of the 1900 Census.
In 1900, they were living in Detroit with their married, but widowed daughter, Mary Lance.
