Henry II ("Curtmantle") Plantagenet, King of England, was born on 25 March 1133 in Le Mans, Sarthe, France. He and Eleanor de Aquitane, Dutchess of Aquitane, were married on 18 May 1152 in Bordeaux Cathedral, France. He died on 6 July 1189 at age 56 in Chinon Castle, France.
He was made Duke of Normandy in 1150. He invaded England in 1153 and forced King Stephen to make him his heir. Henry reigned as King of England 1154-1189.

Biography

Malcolm III Ceannmor, , King of Scotland, was born about 1031 in Atholl, Perthshire, Scotland. He died on 13 November 1093 at age ~62 in Alnick Castle.
He married (1) Ingibiorg Finnsdottir, daughter of Finn Amasson. He reigned as King of Scotland from1057 to 1093. He defeated MacBeth at Dunsinane in 1054 and killed MacBeth at Luphanan in 1057. He was slain while besieging the castle at Alnwick.

She fled the Norman invasion of England. She was forced to marry Malcom III. She refounded the monastery on the island of Iona. She had the abbey at Dunfermline built. She introduced the English language and English monastic customs. Pope Innocent IV canonized her.
