Was this Solomon a son of Edmund or a son of Zephaniah? Stover, VR's of Raynham, p. 18 has Zephaniah Leonard and Hannah, his wife, as the parents of Solomon. Solomon's mother, Hannah, was born in 1705 would have been 54 at the time of his birth -- highly unlikely. It was 9 years after the birth of the last of Zephaniah and Hannah's children. I suspect it was a typo or copy error in the Raynham VR's.

ECL doesn't list Solomon as a child of Zephaniah, but as #313 under Edmund Leonard. ECL lists as references Taunton VR's and Genealogy of Nicholas White by Lothrop. George B. Leonard, a descendant of Edmund, lists Solomon as a son of Edmund.

He was a sergeant in the Revolutionary War (DAR Patriot Index). He served in Capt. Joshua Wilbor's Company. Solomon Leonard had person sources.5,6
