There is an Ezra B. Leonard, a machinist, in the 1882 Boston City Directory. Did he really marry Betsey Swift? That was his mother's name. Ezra Bradford Leonard had person sources.

There were two William Carey (Cary) Leonards, one born 1818 and one born 1819, to different parents. The first was born to Ansel Leonard and Deborah Conant. The second was born to Zebulon and Clarinda Eaton. ECL lists both of them as having a daughter Abbie Susan Leonard who married Benjamin Crandon Leonard.
Patti Leonard Dosetti lists Ansel and Deborah's William Cary Leonard as marrying Martha Copeland and having no child named Abbie Susan, but a boy named William Elbert Leonard b. 26 Feb 1848. This is backed up by the 1850, 1860, and 1870 Censuses. William Carey Leonard had person sources.

The farm where they lived had been in their family since Samuel Packard bought it from the Indians before 1684. Joseph, Jr, and Mary Packard married in this same farm that Caroline Leonard Goodenough was born 160 years later. The farm overlooks Lake Nipenicket in a part of Bridgewater that was known as Scotland in honor of two prominent early preachers, James Keith and John Fobes. Joseph Leonard had person sources.
