Capt. Daniel was a ship owner and merchant-captain. He owned a wharf on Thames Street in Bristol. Capt. Daniel Gladding had person sources.¹

John Gladding was born on 19 November 1762 in Bristol, Rhode Island. He and Rachel Talby were married on 11 June 1784 in Bristol, Rhode Island. He died on 20 October 1821 at age 58 in Bristol, Rhode Island.

John was a garden farmer and also deputy sheriff of Bristol County for many years. He owned a three-cornered lot in Bristol which extended from High, Walley, and Water streets and including a dwelling, windmill, and shore lot. John Gladding had person sources.¹
