ECL: He was a sea captain. In the 1850 Census, he was an ironworker living with his family in Wareham. He was born in Wareham, his wife was born in Brewster or Boston, MA, his daughter Mary was born in Sandwich, and the rest of his children were born in Wareham. Source of children's names is 1850 Census.

Note similarity of naming pattern with Philo B. Leonard's family. James T. Leonard had person sources.1

Or was he born in Woodstock, VT.? He was a shoemaker. ECL questions whether this Philo B. was the same as Philo P. It appears the B and the P were the same. None of their children were included in ECL's manuscript except as a footnote to the question above. Philo P. Leonard had person sources.2
