Josiah Leonard, Jr., was born on 22 September 1779 in West Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts. He and Freelove Case were married on 19 November 1801. He died on 12 October 1852 at age 73 in Kingsborough (Johnston), Fulton County, New York.1
He was baptized 7 Nov 1779 in West Springfield. Was he born there or in Middlefield? There was a Josiah Leonard born to Josiah and Elizabeth Leonard in Middlefield 2 Sep 1779, according to Middlefield VR's.

In the 1850 Census, he was living in Kingsborough (Johnston), Fulton Co., NY. Did they live also in Gloversville? HLS lists Horace Sprague's "Gloversville, or The Model Village," 1859, as a source of the family. Josiah Leonard, Jr., had person sources.2 He was baptized on 7 November 1779 in West Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.

James Harvey Leonard was born on 22 September 1780 in West Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.1,2 He and Mary Parish were married in May 1803. He died on 14 March 1845 at age 64 in Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York.
They lived in Lowville, NY. James first came to Lowville in 1804, began business there in September 1804. Stephen Leonard joined him in 1805, firm of J.H. & S. Leonard. James remained in business there until his removal in 1839. He was also postmaster at Lowville for many years. He was an original trustee of the Lowville Academy and an elder in the Presbyterian Church until 1839. James Harvey Leonard had person sources.3
