George Macy was born about 1620 in England. He died on 17 August 1693 at age ~73 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
1 He was one of the first purchasers of Taunton. He was on the military list in 1643 and listed as a lieutenant and captain in later years. He was selectman from 1671 to 1686 and deputy to the General Court from 1672-1677.

Deacon William Throop was born on 19 March 1636 in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. He and
Mary Chapman were married on 14 May 1666 in Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He died on 6 December 1704 at age 68 in Bristol, Rhode Island.
1 He was buried in Old East Burial Ground, Bristol, Rhode Island.
He was "of Bristol, RI." He was of Scotch descent. He was a son of William Throop, who came from Leyden. He made the journey from Barnstable, MA "by team," having loaded all his household goods and family in an ox-cart and "with stately grandeur" moved to the spot in Bristol where he determine to abode. He was one of the original citizens of Bristol in 1681.
