Biography

William Leonard was born on 26 March 1690 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.¹ He and Abigail Wetherell were married on 1 April 1718 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.² He died in January 1750 at age 59 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.

They lived in Norton. He had a lot of real estate dealings. According to ECL, he "seems to have drifted into Norton. Sales from time to time of his lands and finally mortgages appear and sales of his remaining interest appear, indicating that he died poor. In the division of the towns of Norton and Mansfield, there is an agreement to take care of one or two of his daughters if the necessity arose..."
