Eunice Hunt Wetherell was born on 30 October 1819 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. Capt. Luen Copeland Leonard and she were married on 26 April 1841 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.1 She died on 20 December 1906 at age 87 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
In the 1870 Census, Eunice was probably widowed and living with her children Jacob, Eleanor, and Harriet in Norton next door to her brother-in-law Royal Hodges. She owned real estate worth $3,000 and personal estate worth $2,000.

Biography

Abel Learned was born in 1793 in New Hampshire.1 He and Almira Mcmahan were married on 28 December 1822. He died in 1860 at age ~67 in Boston, Massachusetts.
According to ECL, he probably died in Maine. He was living in Georgetown, Lincoln Co. (later Sagadahoc Co.), ME, for 1850 Census with his wife and three sons. He is listed as Albert Leonard. This family, their sons, and grandsons consistently spelled the family name Learned in the 1850 thru 1880 Censuses. They were fisherman, as were the Mcmahan descendants, and all but disappeared in the 1900 Census.

ECL/GML were wrong in listing him as the son of Nehemiah and Deborah. Abiel was the son of David Learned, grandson of Abijah Learned. Abel Learned had person sources.2,3,4

Biography

Jonathan Leonard was born on 3 March 1777 in Canaan, New London County, Connecticut. He and Persis H. Henshaw were married on 4 February 1807 in Braddocks Bay, Monroe County, New York. He died on 3 January 1868 at age 90 in Murray, Orleans County, New York.
At the time of the 1860 Census, he, a gentleman, 83, and Persis, 78, were living in Parma, Monroe Co., NY. Son Jonathan lived nearby. His will was dated 22 February 1855. Wife, Persis, was executor. He never went to Michigan, where his sons settled.

Jonathan was a captain in the New York Militia in the War of 1812. "He had a voice like a steam calliope."

Did they also have a son, Seth?

Did he die on Feb 4th or Jan 3rd, 1868? Conflicting information.

William Hincher was born on 9 May 1742 in Brookfield, Worcester County, Massachusetts. He and Mehitable Moffatt were married in 1770. He died after 1812 in Parma, Monroe County, New York.
Also spelled Hencher. He was a sergeant in Capt. Daniel Gilbert's company, Col. Job Cushing's regiment from Brookfield, MA. He was later a participant in Shay's Rebellion in western Massachusetts.
