Jesse was a farmer at the time of his marriage. In the 1880 Census, he, 49, was living with his wife Susan, 36, in Sutton, along with their two children (check Fanny, name illegible in record). Homer (?) Martin, 24, a merchant, and a son, William Martin, 20, were living with them.

In the 1910 Census, Jesse B. Leonard was an inmate in the Sutton Almshouse.

Elijah Daniel Leonard was born on 11 July 1838 in Sutton, Worcester County, Massachusetts.¹ He and Mary Berkley were married on 2 January 1873 in Sutton, Worcester County, Massachusetts.² He died on 2 May 1914 at age 75 in Worcester State Hospital, Massachusetts.

He resided in Sutton, MA. At the time of his marriage, he was 34 and Mary was 22. It was a first marriage for both and performed in a Catholic church.

In the 1880 Census, Elijah, 42, and his wife, Mary, 30, were living with their children, Josephine, 7, and George, 5, in Sutton, MA, near Jesse B. (his brother?), 49, and his wife, Susan. Their parents were born in MA. In the 1900 Census, it was recorded that they had 7 children, of which 6 were still living. But in 1900 his parents are listed as having been born in French Canada. It appears to be a transcription error.

Elijah had disappeared by the 1910 Census, but Mary was living with daughter Rosanna Coskey and her husband, Henry F. Coskey, and their daughter, Louise M. in Sutton.

Bethuel Leonard was born on 3 August 1798 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He and Polly Putnam were married on 8 August 1825 in Sutton, Worcester County, Massachusetts.¹ He died on 1 February 1882 at age 83 in Sutton, Worcester County, Massachusetts.

He was a farmer. Info on Bethuel and children supplied by Wardwell C. Leonard, Jr. July 2004. In the 1850 Census, he was a shoemaker living in Sutton with his wife, Polly, and his children: Darius P. (looks like Dennis P.), also a shoemaker, Reuben, Lucy, Ulva, and Nathan. Franklin Libby, 18, a shoemaker, was living with them. Several Putnams lived nearby. In the 1870 Census, he was living next door to Darius and family in Sutton. He was a farmer. In the 1880 Census, he was a farmer living with wife Polly and daughter Lucy in Sutton.

Col. Robert Ash of TX may have published a genealogy of descendants of Bethuel on the Internet.

Darius Putnam Leonard was born on 31 March 1826 in Northbridge, Worcester County, Massachusetts.¹ He and Rosaltha Angelia ("Lucy") Hewett were married on 26 March 1857 in Sutton, Worcester County, Massachusetts. He died on 12 September 1913 at age 87 in Webster, Worcester County, Massachusetts. Or did he die in Northbridge? He was buried in West Sutton Cemetery, Worcester County, Massachusetts.

He resided in Sutton, MA. He was a carpenter at the time of his marriage. They were married by Rodney Gage, Pastor, Methodist Episcopal Church, Sutton. In the 1850 Census, he was a shoemaker. The 1870 Census lists his wife as Lucy, 29. A second wife? In the 1880 Census, he was living with sons Arthur, Reuben, and Edward in Sutton. He was residing at 7 1/2 Park Street, Webster, MA, when he died. He died of lobar pneumonia. They were 4th cousins, once removed.
