Nathaniel Leonard was born on 18 July 1765 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.1
ECL wondered whether he went south and referred to correspondence with Ferdinand Baldwin Baillio. There was a Nathaniel W. Leonard born in Plymouth abt. 1768 who was an anchor smith and died there 21 Feb 1844. There was also a Nathaniel who was a seaman. Nathaniel Leonard had person sources.2

He married first Rebecca Bartlett, then her sister Susanna, then Abigail Bartlett, widow of Ephraim, who was a brother of his first two wives. William Leonard had person sources.3

Biography

Nathaniel Leonard was born on 4 October 1768 in Woodstock, Connecticut.1 He and Mary Greenleaf Leverett were married in 1792. He died on 20 February 1844 at age 75 in Fayette, Missouri.
He was born at 7:30 in the evening, according to Abiel's Bible.

He was a captain in the Army under Alexander Hamilton. He was commandant at Fort Niagara when it was stormed and captured by the British in the War of 1812.

Lois Badger in the Leonard Dictionary has Nathaniel b. 22 Jul 1803 and d. 12 Jul 1856 marrying Mary Everett. She apparently has dates and two generations mixed up. Her source is Fanny Leonard Koster.

There's a Nathaniel Leonard who married a Mary Badger and had a child, Lemuel Badger Leonard, with a number of descendants. Nathaniel Leonard had person sources.2

Sarah Hammock was born about 1739. Col. Daniel Leonard and she were married on 4 March 1770 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.1 She died on 30 July 1806 at age ~67 in Aboard ship John Joy on way from Bermuda to Providence.2 She was buried in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island.
Her father was rich and endowed her accordingly, which made Daniel a wealthy man. She died at sea on her way from Bermuda to Newport, RI, July 30, 1806. She is buried at Newport.

Biography

Charles Leonard was born in September 1774 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He died on 4 May 1831 at age 56 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.1
Charles returned to America from Bermuda in 1790 and took the oath of allegiance to meet the conditions of inheriting wealth from his grandfather, Ephraim. He became an alcoholic, known in Taunton as "crazy Charlie," and was found dead on a road in Norton. He died unmarried, according to Fanny Koster Leonard and ECL. Charles Leonard had person sources.2
