Oliver Leonard was born on 3 February 1764 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He and Sarah Dobell Fletcher were married on 8 February 1791 in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island.1 He died on 3 January 1828 at age 63 in Orrington, Maine.
He had no children. He graduated from Brown, 1787, (ECL - Amherst) and studied law with Judge Padelford in Taunton and Stephen Dexter in Newport. He practised law in Taunton for several years and then went to Orrington, ME, where he did an immense legal business. He was a representative to the Massachusetts legislature while Maine was part of Massachusetts (before 1820). He's mentioned in his father's will in 1807.

George Leonard, 2nd, was born on 15 April 1784 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He and Margaret Peggy Bowers were married on 26 September 1805 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.1 He died on 21 September 1852 at age 68 in Orrington, Maine.
ECL: George married, then moved to that part of Orrington, ME,, now Brewer in June 1806. He bought a farm just below the present site of the great dam across the Penobscot River - the second farm, just below his brother Oliver. He was for many years chairman of the Board of Selectmen and representative to the General Court. He was a member of the Constitutional Convention. He was a state senator 1825-8. In 1834 he sold his farm and moved to Bangor, building himself a house at 100 Cumberland Street. He was a notary public and justice of the peace. He was offered the Presidency of the Agricultural Bank in Brewer, but decline the offer. He died of consumption. George Leonard, 2nd, had person sources.2,3

George R. Leonard was born on 6 April 1810 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He and Patience E. Lincoln were married on 3 October 1837 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.1 He died on 24 September 1873 at age 63 in Shrewsbury, Maine.
George was a farmer in Norton. ECL says he was unmarried, so doublecheck this marriage. Another George?

ECL: George was educated in the Goodwin Lyceum in Gardner, ME. He went to Boston when young and taught modern languages at Master Alfred Pike's school. He studied civil engineering. He wrote several articles in the North American Reviw edited by Alexander Everett and contributed largely to "Scientific Facts." He was a great friend of B. B. Thacher, found of the Boston Journal. He served as civil engineer for the Boston and Providence RR, the Boston and Lowell RR, and the Boston and Maine RR. He bought a farm in West Needham, MA and became the author of arithmetic texts used in the Boston schools. He invented a repeating pistol and manufactured them for a time. He was Chairman, Board of Selectmen, in Shrewsbury. He died of consumption and was buried next to the lady to whom he was engaged and who died some years before him.

Was he the George R. Leonard who bought a farm from Tirrell Cobb 16 Feb 1852? George R. Leonard had person sources.2

Daniel Leonard was born on 28 March 1773 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He and Mehitable Hicks were married on 6 November 1794 in Pomfret or Woodstock, Connecticut.1 He died on 28 March 1842 at age 69 in Union, Connecticut. He was buried at East Cemetery in Union, Tolland County, Connecticut.
He was a blacksmith. Daniel and Mehitable lived just north of the Woodstock Valley school house. They later moved to Stafford and about 1814 moved to Union.

Is it possible this Daniel married Levina Jones? Edna (Ritchie) Leonard's notes posit a James1, Uriah2, William3, Jacob4, Jacob5, Daniel6, Bethuel7, Darius8, Edward9 line. Daniel Leonard had person sources.2
