The revocation of the Treaty of Nantes in 1685 led to the extreme persecution of Huguenots (Protestants) by the Catholic King of France, Louis XIV. The Sicards fled to London, England, before coming to New York and New Rochelle. He and
Marie ("Jennie") Perron were married about 1686 in Probably London, England. He died about 1735 at age ~69 in Probably New Rochelle, Westchester County, New York.
