He was a Quaker, as were most of the family (?). Were they of German, English, or Scottish
They married in the Reformed Church, Bethlehem twp., Albany Co., NY.
Israel wrote a piece in celebration of his and Elizabeth's golden wedding anniversary, from which birth and marriage dates for them and his children were taken. The family moved between New Baltimore and Coeymans several times, in 1830 moving to Lyons, Wayne Co., NY, via the Erie Canal before moving a year later to Junius, Seneca Co., NY.
Coxsackie and New Baltimore are the same place.
