He enlisted 13 Sep 1861 as a musician in Co. H, 46th PA Volunteers and was medically discharged 6 Dec 1862.
In the 1870 Census, the family was living in El Paso Ward 1, Woodford Co., IL. Abraham's parents, Abraham and Mary, were living with them, as was his sister, Elizabeth.
In the 1900 Census, the family was living in Madison twp., Fillmore Co., NE.
