Biography
Jonas Leonard was born on 25 February 1765 in Anson County, North Carolina. He and
Sarah ("Sallie") Lanford were married in 1788 in South Carolina. He died on 5 April 1837 at age 72 at Sharon Methodist Church Cemetery, SC, in Spartansburg, South Carolina. He was buried at Leonard Family Cemetery, near Reidville, in Reidville, Spartanburg, South Carolina.
He organized the Sharon Methodist Church in Reidville, SC. He was a Revolutionary War soldier.
