Biography
Asa Clark Leonard was born on 11 December 1867 in Middleville, Barry County, Michigan. He and
Blanche Earnest were married on 4 January 1899 in Barry County, Michigan.
Asa left Michigan on 26 Dec 1894 and headed west in a buggy with a buckskin team of horses. He first went to Montana, but finding nothing he like, he returned to Nebraska and stayed with his brother Charley. He purchased the 160 acres of land just east of Charley Leonard's place and built an L-shaped house almost identical to the one which his parents had in Michigan.
