Biography

John Beers was born on 12 January 1802 in Romulus, Seneca County, New York. He and Mary Eliza Leonard were married on 19 January 1837. He died on 5 April 1873 at age 71 in Emporium, Cameron County, Pennsylvania.

He was the only child of Silas and Mary Beers who did not move west to Ohio when Silas died. After the death of his father, he sold the family farm in Shannontown, NY and moved to Barrington, NY. He lived there until 1854, when he moved his family to Emporium, PA. John Beers had person sources.¹
