He died on 20 February 1929 at age 75 in Hollowville, Columbia County, New York. He was buried at Dutch Reformed Church cemetery in Claverack, Columbia County, New York.
A farm laborer in Claverack at the 1900 Census. Born 1852 or 1855? Confused with another Charles (H.) born 1853, wife Alice Decker, with these two children? Buried in St. Thomas Cemetery, Churchtown. In the 1900 Census, he and Alice were living in Claverack with son Claude

In the 1900 Census, they had had 9 children, of which 6 were still living.

Check to make sure it was this Charles H. Kells and not the one born in 1846 who died in Hollowville. Charles H. Kells and Alice Decker were married in 1877 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Churchtown, in Columbia County, New York.
