Peter Collamore was born in Northam, Devon, England.
The Collamores of Brownton, Devon, England, were a highly respected family. Sir Thomas Collamore was Vicar of the church in 1494, and the Collamores of Luscott in Brownton recorded a pedigree of eight generations in the Visitation of 1620. So there should be more information on the ancestry of Peter available. He probably had a brother, Sir John Collamore, who died in 1605 without heir.
