Her father was from Wales and her mother born in New York. She was unemployed at Census time, as were her daughters. In 1950, she was living at 122 Calaman road, Auburn, Cranston, RI.
She met her husband while on vacation on Block Island. She was there with her mother.

Kent S. Kerch and she were married before 1940 in Los Angeles, California. She died on 21 March 1979 at age 82 in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California. She was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California.
In the 1900 Census, she is listed as boarding with Jeffrey R. Munroe, silver polisher, and his wife Christina Regester in Meriden, CT. Jeffrey and Christina had been married ten years and apparently had no children of their own. Marion's mother died two years earlier, and she apparently went to live with her aunt and uncle (Christina was her father Ernest's sister). My father recalled that Marion went to live with "Uncle Am" (Uncle M) in California, so the Munroe's must have moved to California sometime after 1900 (Charles W. Regester used to vacation with the Munroe's in California after he retired). Marion Louise Regester had Social Security Number 554-24-0896.

When he registered for the World War I draft on June 5, 1917, he was living with his wife and two children at 22 Warren Avenue, Providence, RI. He was clerk working at Belcher and Loomis at 91 Weybosset Street in Providence. He was short, of slender build, with gray eyes, and black hair.
In the 1920 Census, he was living at 111 No. Davis Street in Providence with a Russian Jewish family headed by Abraham Demond. He was a salesman at a hardware store.
Lawrence and wife Abigail M. were living in Swampscott, MA, at the time of the 1930 Census with a stepson, Theodore Cowper, 25, a boat steward. Lawrence was a paint salesman.
A Muriel G. Regester, dau. of Lawrence W. and Bertha G. Regester, d. 2 Oct 1919, 6 days old.
The IGI lists Lawrence's place of birth as Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, but this is just plain wrong. Both his parents were living in East Providence, Rhode Island, at that time.

Bertha Frances Luther were married on 22 September 1890. He died on 14 December 1938 at age 75 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island.
He worked at Gorham from September 22, 1887 as a polisher and remained with Gorham until sometime before 1924. He advanced in salary from $9 a week to $42 a week over that period. Listed on Gorham records as born in England January 29, 1863. He lived at 96 Oakland Avenue, Cranston, before 1924. He lived at 591 Elmwood Avenue, Providence/Cranston, at the time of the 1930 Census. His obituary says he was an interior decorator for the past 25 years.
International Genealogical Index carries erroneous info that he was born March 12, 1858, in England and married Bertha Steere about 1879 in England, unless that was another Joseph H. Regester. According to the 1900 Census, he came to America in 1882.

He was a silversmith. They lived at 25 Algonquin St. in Providence in the 1930 Census. Both daughters were living at home and employed as stenographers.
The northern half of lot 233 in Locust Grove Cemetery, Providence, was transferred to him by will in 1923, but he is not buried there.

He was hired as a polisher at Gorham October 5, 1903, and left the company in March 1910. He moved to Meriden, CT, about 1912 and was living at Niagara Falls when his father died.
The 1900 Census notes that he moved to the US in 1881. His wife, Anna L., was born in 1879 in Scotland of a father born in NY and a mother born in Scotland.

In 1909 his office was listed as manufacturing at 256 Weston, Rm. 33, home 15 Foster, Providence.
The 1920 Census lists Arthur J. Regester, age 54, living in Warwick, RI.

Living next door was a John P. Anderson, born December 1848, married to Bertha C. He was also a quarryman. Was he a brother of Carl? He came to the US in 1885 and had four children. Carl Andersson had person sources.
