A Thomas Leonard, no further identification, is said to be the ather of John Leonard and a chain of descendants extending to the present day. This John was born about 1700 in Dudley, Worcestershire, about 1700. He married Henrietta Smith on 26 Nov 1723 in Dudley and bore him seven children, at least two of which married and blessed him with grandchildren. Family was nonconformist (Quaker?).
