There was a William Kells, fariner, lodging at the Troy Orphanage at the time of the 1920 Census. William Kells b. 1889 to John H. and Emma Kells is hard to distinguish from the William Kells b. 1890 to William J. Kells and Sarah VaVechten. Draft registration listed the birth date of Dec 16, 1890, and working at the Troy Orphan Asylum, so it must be this William. He was single at the time of the draft, and had no parents according to the draft registration. Was he an orphan?

His draft registration for World War II in June 1942 listed Mrs. Margaret Goodermote as the person who would always know where to find him. He was listed as a farmer living at RFD #1 in East Nassau.

The New York Census of 1925 listed him as living in a household with John H. Kells, Emma Kells, Floyd Goodermote, Margaret Goodermote, and their daughter, Elizabeth.

Alice E. Kells was born in September 1891 in New York. Larkin and she were married. She died in April 1984 at age 92 in Nassau, New York.
