Or was he born in Fishkill, Dutchess Co.?

The family was living in Durham, Greene Co., NY, at the time of the 1850 Census. Only daughters Emily and Jane were living at home at that time. Benjamin Lisk had person sources.1

  1. [S1136] Steve has constructed the family of Benjamin Lisk and Elizabeth Boone from various sources, including the records of Peter Lisk. He says he put Solomon in this family because there was no other Lisk family where he fit. So this relationship requires further evidence or proof.

Elizabeth Golden was born about 1784 in Chenango, Broome County, New York. Benjamin Lisk and she were married in 1801 in New Baltimore, Greene County, New York. She died in 1853 at age ~69 in Greene, Chenango County, New York.
One possibility for parents is Francis Boone, b. 1751 in Upton, Worcester Co., MA, m. Elizabeth Lackey in 1772, had daughter Elizabeth King Boone b.1776. She was living with Mary Ann and Eli Spencer in the 1870 and 1880 Census in Durham (Cairo post office), listed as mother-n-law. and with Mary Ann Clara in 1860..

Another possibility is that she was the daughter or sister of Richard Boone of Exeter, RI. He moved to Renssalaer County, NY, about 1800. Another daughter moved to Johnstown, NY.

Marriage of Benjamin Lisk and Elizabeth Burroughs listed in NYG&B Register 69:381. They were married in Rumbout/Poughkeepsie 21 Jul 1765.

A Benjamin Lisk served as a private in the Brinkerhoff Regiment in the Revolutionary War.
