In the 1910 Census, Thomas' mother Sarah and sister Ida were living next door. They were all living in Houston, TX. Thomas was a farmer.

Sophia Leonard was born on 31 March 1884 in Polk County, Texas. Charles Franklin Shaw and she were married. John Stonewall Jackson and she were married. She died on 20 April 1978 at age 94 in Polk County, Texas.

According to O. B. Leonard in "Stephen Banks Leonard," Samuel and Abigail had 7 children: two boys and five girls. He was a carpenter by trade.

This appears to be the Samuel Leonard who enlisted at Morristown 17 March 1776 as an artificer in Capt. Joseph Lindsley's Co. under Col. Baldwin, re-enlisting in Capt. Thomas Patterson's Co., Col Dayton's Third NJ Regt. He was in the Battle of Monmouth, where he was wounded in the right foot. The pension file says his wife died about 1810, that in 1820 he was a resident of Morris twp, Morris Co., and there were seven children, Nancy 28 years old, Mary 26, and Jemima 18 being the only ones whose names are stated. Info a little off for this Samuel, but NJ records are bad. File # S 554. DAR Patriot Index also. He owned 42 acres of land when he applied for an invalid's pension. SAR also.

First Church, Morristown, records have him 65 at death in 1822. Will dtd. 23 Apr 1821, proved 9 Apr 1822, Book C, p. 6. Son Samuel gets "my old gun which belonged to my great grandfather which generally called Queen Ann's pocket piece. Residue of estate to 3 daughters Nancy, Mary A., and Joanna, who are named executrixes. In his pension application, he mentioned a debt of $145.75 to Nancy and Mary Leonard to build a small house. He owed Adam Guerin $25 and Lewis Mills $10.

Silas Pierce Leonard was born on 14 December 1796 in New Jersey. He died in 1873 at age ~77 in New Jersey.

In the 1850 Census, Silas, his wife, and children were living in Woodbridge, Middlesex Co., NJ, where Silas and his sons Silas and Samuel were potters. In the 1870 Census, he and his wife were living in Rahway, Union Co., NJ, where he was a potter. Several ofhis sons were also potters and living nearby.

Samuel Leonard was born on 26 February 1789 in Somerset Co.., New Jersey. He and Sarah ("Sary") Guerin were married on 14 March 1811 at First Presbyterian Church in Morristown, Morris County, New Jersey. He and Sarah Hinds were married on 29 February 1812. He died on 9 April 1850 at age 61 in Somerset County, New Jersey. He was buried at Basking Ridge Cemetery in Somerset Hills, Somerset County, New Jersey.

According to O. B. Leonard in "Stephen Banks Leonard," Samuel and Sarah had 11 children.

Did he marry first 14 Mar 1811, Sary Guerin, who d. 9 Jan 1812, age 23? (First Church, Morristown, records, p. 133)

He may have been the Samuel Leonard, 60, living with two of his children, Elizabeth and William, in the 1850 Census for Morris.

He died intestate, adm. of estate given to sons Silas and Jacob. He was buried in Basking Ridge Cemetery, Somerset Hills, Somerset County, NJ.
