Biography

Lyman Bradford Leonard was born on 11 January 1827 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He and Evelyn Frances Thomas were married about 1854. He and Mary McInness were married about 1886. He died on 1 July 1897 at age 70 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
Note: NEHGS - Massachusetts Vital Death Records, 1841-1910, Death - 1897 Taunton MA vol 472 page 378 line 320. Bradford Leonard died on 01 July 1897 in Taunton. He was married, was a copper roller, resident of Taunton, and was 70y 05m 21d old. Cause of death was suicide by Paris Green. Secondary, depression from lack of employment. Bradford was buried in Taunton. He was born in Norton to Lyman and Sarah Leonard. Both parents were born in Norton. He apparently went by his middle name, Bradford.

Source of GML's info about this family was a letter from Robert Lawton Hagar, grandson of Augustus.

In the 1870 Census of Taunton, he was married to Adeline, 2 years older than he.

This Bradford is sometimes confused with the Bradford born 1829 Providence. Lyman Bradford Leonard had person sources.1,2
