Adam Mott was born about 1596 in Saffron Walden, Essex, England. He and
Elizabeth Creel were married on 28 October 1616 in Saffron Walden, Essex, England. He and
Sarah Lott were married on 11 May 1635 in Horseheath, Cambridgeshire, England. He died on 12 August 1661 at age ~65 in Portsmouth, Newport County, Rhode Island.
He was a tailor. He took the oaths of allegiance and supremacy necessary to embarking on the Defense 2 July 1635 for Massachusetts. He was a freeman on 25 May 1636 in Roxbury, but he soon moved to Hingham where he had been granted land. With the developing conflict over religion he moved to Portsmouth, RI and was admitted as an inhabitant the first year of that settlement, in 1638. On 12 June 1640 he and others were chosen to lay out lands at Portsmouth. Adam Mott had person sources.
