Biography

Absalom Leonard was born on 5 February 1791 in Raynham, Bristol County, Massachusetts.1 He and Keziah Dean were married on 14 November 1816 in Raynham, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He died on 1 October 1856 at age 65 in Raynham, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
He may be the same as the Absalom (Zadock5, Simeon4, Elkanah3, Thomas2, James1), note in manuscript by ECL. Both are listed as marrying Keziah Dean. He died at age 67 of consumption. He was a farmer. ECL: "a note says Absalom drowned, a suicide."

Raynham VR's lists Abraham Leonard as marrying Keziah on this date. It's probably a misprint, Abraham for Absalom.

Absalom had sons Thomas, 9, Cyrus, 7, and Granville, 2?, attending school 28 Feb 1827 in Taunton. Also listed are Catherine King, 9, and Abigail H. Drake, who were apparently living with or the responsibility of Absalom. Absalom Leonard had person sources.2
