Abiel Tripp was born on 22 June 1684 in Portsmouth, Newport County, Rhode Island. He and Eleanor Waite were married on 5 January 1704 in Portsmouth, Newport County, Rhode Island. He died in 1753 at age ~69 in Portsmouth, Newport County, Rhode Island.

Eleanor Waite was born on 4 January 1688 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Abiel Tripp and she were married on 5 January 1704 in Portsmouth, Newport County, Rhode Island. She died in Sandwich, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.

Preserved Dyer was born on 10 February 1738 in Little Compton, Rhode Island. He and Susanna Head were married on 4 April 1765. He and Deborah Gifford were married on 7 December 1793 in Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts.¹ He died on 27 March 1829 at age 91 in Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts.

This is an undocumented but educated guess. Preserved and Deborah (his second wife) had five children, but the names of the two daughters were not recorded.

Preserved had a sister named Eunice. One of his sisters had a daughter named Eunice (m. Trafford). MA 1790 Census shows him living in Westport. Deborah had a sister named Eunice, so the name was common in both families.

A possible source is the pamphlet by B. F. Wilbour, "Ten Generations from Wiliam and Mary Dyer." Another source to check: Bristol County Probate Index at NEHGS to see if either had a will naming children.

Preserved Dyer of Westport 2 August 1813, gave to son Charles Dyer 10 acres and house, his homestead farm in Little Compton and Westport bounded east by the highway, north by John Dyer, west on John Salisbury and Benjamin Tabor, and south on Head Dyer's land, according to "Little Compton Families".

In the 1790 Census, Preserved was living in Westport with 1 male child and 1 female in his household. Zaccheus Dyer (2 males over 16, 2 males under 16, and 3 females) and John Dyer (2 males over 16, 1 female) were also living in Westport, presumably nearby, as they are listed soon after Preserved. Preserved was not listed in the 1800 Census, but in the 1810 Census had 3 male children and 1 female living at home.

He is mentioned in his mother's (Elizabeth) will in 1775 -- received one shilling. Rhoby Briggs' will in 1843 mentions Henry, son of Preserved.

Would the other daughter be named Bethany? Bethany Dyer married Robin Gifford of Little Compton October 13, 1821.

Deborah Gifford was born on 27 September 1761 in Little Compton, Rhode Island. Preserved Dyer and she were married on 7 December 1793 in Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts.¹ She died in 1846 at age ~85 in Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts.

Deborah's sister Michael left a dollar each to Deborah's children in her will, 1846. Deborah had died before then. Deborah's father, Enos, left her 2 Spanish milled dollars in his will in 1820. He names her as Deborah Dyer in his will.

Preserved Dyer was born on 17 September 1798 in Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He died on 23 October 1850 at age 52 in Tiverton, Rhode Island. He was buried at Pleasant View Cemetery in Tiverton, Rhode Island.

James Dyer was born about 1805 in Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He died on 10 June 1877 at age ~72 in Little Compton, Newport County, Rhode Island.

Enos Gifford was born on 22 March 1740 in Little Compton, Rhode Island. He and Mary Wilbor were married on 13 March 1760 in Little Compton, Rhode Island. He and Susannah Wilbur were married on 24 November 1803 in Little Compton, Newport County, Rhode Island. He died on 20 November 1820 at age 80 in Little Compton, Rhode Island.

Enos Gifford and Susannah Wilbur were married. Enos and Mary were married by Robert Taylor, justice. He was justice of the peace in Little Compton from 1776 to 1799.

Death date may be wrong. Her will was proven June 1, 1790, so she probably died in 1790..

Capt. Joseph Allen and Rachel Griggs were not the parents of Phillis Allen. They lived in Gloucester, and Rachel died in 1684, before Phillis was born. Phillis Allen signed a will on 13 June 1781 in Little Compton, Newport, Rhode Island.

Joseph Allen was born on 4 March 1667 in Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He and Rachel Tenetry were married about 1700 in Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He and Rachel Alice Griggs were married in 1701. He died on 31 January 1734 at age 66 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
