He is survived by three daughter, Mrs. Blanche Teeter, Milan, N.Y., Mrs. Sarah Ellen Adams, McGraw, Mrs. Grace Vanderpool, Willseyville, N.Y.; five sons, Judd, Dewey and Joseph Leonard, Wellsburg, King and Odell Leonard, Gillett; 33 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held from the home of his son King Leonard, Gillett, on Monday at 1:30 p.m., and in the Big Pond Church at 2 p.m., Rev. Edward Howe and Rev. Owen Barrett, with burial in the East Smithfield Cemetery. James Byron ("J.B.") Leonard had person sources.¹

King Edward LEONARD, 94, of Columbia Cross Roads RR 3, Springfield twp, PA died Friday, June 16, 1995 following a short illness. (He died of a heart attack.) Born April 5, 1901 near Big Pond, PA he was a son of the late James Myron and Julia Seymour Leonard. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard were dairy farmers for many years near Checkerville and retired near Berrytown in 1967. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Beatrice Sherman Leonard, in 1992. Mr. Leonard drove school bus for 45 years, Beatrice Sherman Leonard, in 1992. M r. Leonard drove school bus for 45 years for the Gillett Area Schools and served as a South Creek Township Supervisor and owned a sawmill for many years. He also enjoyed his pastime as a beekeeper. He was a member of the Checkerville and Ondawa Granges. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Shirley and David Bentley of Moultier, GA, Ruth E. Leonard of Gillett, PA, Phil and Anna Belle Leonard, Lee H. Leonard, Donald and Anna Mae Leonard, Ronald and Norma Leonard, all of Gillett; a sister, blanche Teeter of Milan, Pa; 22 grandchildren 56 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by grandchildren, Ronda Leonard and Donald Leonard Jr.; sisters, Ora Drake, Ellen Adams and grace Vanderpool; and brothers, Beecher, Judd , Dewey, Joseph and Odell Leonard. Funeral services were held at the Vickery Funeral Home in Troy on June 20 with the rev. Ronald Murphy, pastor of the Berrytown Wesleyan Church, officiating and interment to be in Glenwood Cemetery, troy. The family suggests that memorials may be directed to the Berrytown Wesleyan Church , RR 1, Gillett, PA 16925 or to Guthrie Hospice, RR 1, Box 154, Towanda, PA 18848 in Mr. Leonard?s memory.
