He was too young for service in the Revolutionary War. He lived in Taunton all his life. He was a yeoman farmer. After his death at age 81, Abijah Lincoln, David Harvey, and Beza Lincoln were the appraisers of his estate and the heirs given were Asahel Eddy, Tilly Lincoln, Lydia Field, and Lucy Eddy, each of whom received $4.06 from the estate. Asahel Eddy was born about 1766 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
