Johannes Jonasson
M, #1019, b. 19 April 1795, d. 12 October 1846
Parents
Biography
Johannes Jonasson was born on 19 April 1795 in Hällstad, Älvsborg län, Sweden.
1 He and
Annika Johansdotter were married on 10 July 1830 in Skattegarden, Hällstad, Älvsborg län, Sweden.
2,3 He died on 12 October 1846 at age 51 in Gammalstorp, Hällstad, Älvsborg län, Sweden.
4 Witnesses to his birth were Sven Andersson from Djupedahl, Pehr Jonasson from ?Bergdahl, Sara Lila Jonsdotter from Brunnstorp, Annika Pehrsdotter from Salunda. (GID 1911.12.95400). Parents (clear) Jonas Jönsson and Ingierd Olufsdotter.
He was 35 when married, she 25, checks with birth dates. I can't find her parents at Skattegarden. He moved in 1829 to the Backstuga at Gammaltorp, where he was a 1/4 owner. She moved there after they were married in 1830. Johannes' brother Sven inherited the 1/4 ownership of Gammaltorp when his father died.
In the 1826-1832 Household Examination (GID: 1911.4.2000), he, his wife, and daughter Cajsa are listed as living at Gammalstorp, where he was a 1/4 owner. It was in this period that he moved to the Backstuga there. In the 1841-61 Household examination (GID: 1911.6.18100), it shows his death (name crossed out, notation as to date of death), but his widow and family apparently continued to live there (not crossed out, not shown as moving). Brothers Jöns and Andreas bought or inherited another 1/4 ownership there, which passed to Andreas' son when Jöns died.

Annika Johansdotter
F, #1020, b. 12 February 1805, d. 7 June 1885
Parents
Biography
Annika Johansdotter was born on 12 February 1805 in Brobacken, Hällstad, Älvsborgs län, Sweden.
1 Johannes Jonasson and she were married on 10 July 1830 in Skattegarden, Hällstad, Älvsborg län, Sweden.
2,3 She died on 7 June 1885 at age 80 in Krokstorp, Hössna, Älvsborg län, Sweden.
1 The family is noted in Hällstad parish church records A1:5, page 141, and AI:6, page 35 and 41. Research done then by Swedish genealogist Kerstin Jonmyren, Swedish Genealogy Company, per correspondence dtd. 26 May 2000, added to since then.
In 1850 the widow Annika and her children sold the 1/4 ownership in their farm at Gammalstorp, and all of them moved to Blidsberg Parish east of Hällstad (GID: 1911.6.28300, household examination 1850-61, p. 41).
Apparently, Annika was living with her daughter, Johanna, and her son, Johannes, at Krokstorp at the time of her death, having moved there from Timmele May 29, 1885, just a few days before her death.

Jonas Jönsson
M, #1023, b. 10 February 1766, d. 2 April 1817
Parents
Biography
Jonas Jönsson was born on 10 February 1766 in Carlsberg, Gullered, Väster Götaland (Älvsborg län), Sweden.
1 He and
Ingierd Olofsdotter were married on 27 April 1794 in Hallstad Parish, (Väster Götaland), Sweden.
2 He died on 2 April 1817 at age 51 in Gammalstorp, Hällstad, Älvsborg län, Sweden.
3 He was buried on 20 April 1817 in Gammalstorp, Hällstad, Älvsborg län, Sweden.
3 It appears Jonas married an owner of the farm's daughter and went to work and live there. Family owned farm in Gammalstorp rote in Hällstad parish. Farms started to be established in Norway and Sweden in the first century A.D. and flourished as the introduction of iron (Iron Age) and a climate change toward warmer weather about 500 A.D. made agriculture more productive. Many farm names originate from these early times and continue into the present day. Gammalstorp is now the south half of the village of Älmestad, which is really the town in which the Hällstad parish church sits.
He may have been born on the farm, Strangsered.
At marriage in 1794, Jonas is listed as from Gullered parish. GID 1911.12.93000. Unfortunately, there are no records of movings in for 1794. The marriage record has Jonas Jönsson from Gullered, age 26, marrying Ingierd from Gammalstorp, age 21.
Jonas is listed as a 1/4 owner, Gammalstorp, Hällstad, Väster Götaland, Sweden. Jonas is listed in the 1811-6 Household Examination; Jonas is not listed in later Husförhörslängd; he died in 1817 of a fever. He was 51 years, 1 month, 21 days old when he died, which calculates to being born 10 February 1766. The 1811-16 Husförhörslängd lists his birth date as 10 February 1766. Death record lists Jöns Jonasson and Kjerstin Nilsdotter as his parents (GID: 1911.12.90400). See also GID: 1911.2.101500 (household examination), GID: 1911.3.105900 (household examination).
If Jonas was 26 in 1794 (per marriage record), then he was born about 1768. There was a Jonas Jönsson born in Gullered 16 May 1768. This Jonas had a brother Lars born 1 November 1771 and a sister, Marja, born 17 May 1774. But Jonas' birthdate in the 1811-16 Husförhörslängd is quite clear, and so this Jonas is not the right one.
There appear to be two Jonas Jönssons listed in Gammalstorp in the 1811-16 Household Examination with different birthdates, wives, and families. The other Jonas Jönsson was born in 1758 and married to Annika Svensdotter, born 1768; and they had Catharina, born 1795, Peter, born 1798, Sven, born 1806, and Johanna, born 1809. This was not my Jonas. Also, an Anders Olufsson, b. 1746, appears to have lived with the family during part of that period. There appear to be several Jönssons (Sven, Lars, b. 1750) living nearby -- same parents?
Records for Hällstad are very difficult to work with. Several parishes were under the same pastor, and records are mixed, with births, deaths, and marriages for a given year on consecutive pages.

Ingierd Olofsdotter
F, #1024, b. 25 February 1774, d. 21 April 1857
Parents
Biography
Ingierd Olofsdotter was born on 25 February 1774 at Gammalstorp in Hällstad, Älvsborg län, (Väster Götaland), Sweden.
1 Jonas Jönsson and she were married on 27 April 1794 in Hallstad Parish, (Väster Götaland), Sweden.
2 She died on 21 April 1857 at age 83 in Gammalstorp, Hällstad, Väster Götaland, Sweden.
3 Ingierd is sometimes spelled Ingjerd in the records.
She was still alive in 1840. After Jonas died, she continued to live at Gammaltorp #7, retaining the 1/4 ownership. In the 1826-32 Household Examination, she was living with sons Sven and Joseph. Sven moved on, and she continued to live there with son Joseph and Andreas and daughter Johanna. Son Johannes and his family were also living at Gammaltorp in the 1833-40 Household Examination (GID: 1911.5.8900). In the 1841-61 Household Examination (GID: 1911.6.18100), she is shown as continuing to live there, although the 1/4 ownership is crossed out (her name is not crossed out). The Hällstad death book ends with 1850, and she doesn't appear to be there, based on a quick search. Apparently brothers Andreas and Jöns bought or inherited the 1/4 ownership in 1849 and continued to live there the rest of the period. Daughter Johanna continued to live there during this period.
