Arthur was a silversmith and foreman at Gorham Mfg. Co. His father was born in MA. They had no children. In the 1936 and 1938 City Directories, he and Lillian were living at 152 Grace Street in Cranston, next door to Lillian's sister and her husband, Walter B. Leonard at 148 Grace Street. In the 1941 City Directory, they were living at 9 Oakland Avenue, Cranston. In the 1942 World War II draft registration, Arthur was working for New England Glass Works in Providence. He and Lillian were living at 9 Oakland Avenue, Cranston, RI. He was 5'9" and 132 lbs. He had brown eyes, gray hair, and a dark complexion.

My uncle said that Arthur tried to seduce Lillian's sister, which led to a family falling-out and caused the Dodges to move.

In the 1920 Census, he and his family were living with his parents, Walter A. and Elizabeth Dodge, at 171 Gallatin Street in Providence. In 1900, Walter, b. Dec 1866, and Elizabeth were living at 43 Hope Street in Bristol. Walter was a railroad conductor. Alonzo Dodge was treasurer of Dodge Textile Corporation, 21 Congress Ave., Providence in 1927 and President-Treasurer in 1938 through 1960. Jack (John H.) Leonard was also an officer of the Dodge Textile Corporation at some point. Dodge Textile Corporation manufactured aprons.
