Rufus Billings was born on 22 March 1786 in Hartland, Windsor County, Vermont. Born in Hartland or Windsor? He and
Hannah Jourdan were married on 15 September 1805 in Windsor, Windsor County, Vermont. He died on 9 August 1864 at age 78 in Warren, Washington County, Vermont.
They had 13 children. There appear to be too many children here.
There is confusion between Rufus b. 1791 and Rufus b. 1786. Rufus b. 1791 was living with his daughter Julia in Skaneateles in 1850. His wife had died. Rufus b. 1791 died in 1852 and so does not appear in the 1860 Census. Rufus b. 1786 and his wife Hannah appear in Warren, Washington Count, VT, in the 1860 Census, living with the Heath family. One of their daughters married a Heath.
