There is a great possibility of confusion between this Phebe Hicks and the Phebe Hicks who married a Watson. The latter was the daughter of Robert Hicks, while the former was the daughter of Thomas Hicks. Phebe Hicks had person sources.

His son John built the first saw mill on that brook, 1690, and shortly after a grist mill. John was an active and useful man, always employed in division of lands and other public concerns.
