Solomon Leonard was born on 23 November 1784 in West Stockbridge, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. He and Nancy Ann Waldo were married on 30 January 1813 in Berkshire, Tioga County, New York. He died on 24 March 1866 at age 81 in Berkshire, Tioga County, New York. He was buried at Brown Settlement Cemetery in Berkshire, Tioga County, New York.
He and his father were in the 1830 Census for Berkshire, Tioga Co., NY. In the 1850 Census, Solomon and his sons were tanners.

Solomon Leonard came with his father to Berkshire in 1793 when he was 9 years old. On reaching his majority, he became a partner with Asa in the business of tanning and currying. He married Nancy Ann Waldo and settled on the south side of Leonard street, where Joseph Waldo Leonard now (1887) lives.... Biography

Dr. Joseph Waldo was born on 5 October 1758 in Windham, now Scotland, Windham County, Connecticut. He died on 13 February 1840 at age 81 in Berkshire, Tioga County, New York. He was buried at Brown Settlement Cemetery in Berkshire, Tioga County, New York.
He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He was also a physician and surgeon. He and his wife (who went by the nickname Nancy) lived for a few years in West Stockbridge, MA and then moved to Richmond MA. He later moved to Lisle, NY, and thence, in October 1800 to Berkshire, where he settled on the south 173 acres of lot 304. He built there an elegant house in 1806. He was for many years the only physician in the valley north of Owego and had a very large practice. He was one of the founders of the First Church of Tioga in 1803 and was dismissed in 1833 to become one of the constituent members of the Congregational Church in Berkshire.
