Asaph Dickerson Leonard was born on 29 November 1801 in West Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.1 He and Christin Slafter were married on 8 January 1849. He died in 1866 at age ~65 in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
He moved to Auburn, NY. He was there in the 1830 Census. He was married and had a son and a daughter in 1830.

If he died in 1846, he obviously didn't marry Kristin in 1849. He supposedly married (1) Julia Warden 1806-1836 and had at least four daughters (Catherine, Jane, Eliza, and Satterlee). He marrried (2) Julia's sister Amanda in 1842 and had one daughter who died in infancy. Is he confused with Asaph Leonard who was born in 1801 and died in 1846? Asaph Dickerson Leonard had person sources.2
