He was called John Macomber the cooper to distinguish him from others of the same name. He served in King William's war in 1691. His wife received part of her father's estate in 1684. John Macomber had person sources.¹

William Macomber was born in 1610 in Dorchester, Devon, England. He and Ursula Cooper were married on 16 January 1634 at Saint Mary's in Bridport, Dorset, England. He died on 27 May 1670 at age ~60 in Marshfield, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.

Was his wife Ursula Cooper or Ursula Thomas?

He was a cooper by trade. He was granted permission by Plymouth Colony to settle in Plymouth or elsewhere on April 2, 1638. He was granted an island of three or four acres. He eventually settled in Marshfield. In 1644 he was fined for speaking against the Indians. William Macomber had person sources.¹ He was born in 1610.

Biography

Edward Bobbit was born in 1626. He and Sarah Tarne were married on 7 September 1654 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He died on 25 June 1675 at age ~49 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.

He was one of the original settlers of Taunton, having land in the South Purchase, now Berkley. He was obliged to take refuge in the block house in Taunton during King Philip's War and was killed by the Indians while returning to his farm. Edward Bobbit had person sources.¹
