He was buried at West Shutesbury Cemetery in Shutesbury, Massachusetts.
In the 1850 Census, he and his family were living between Calvin Leonard and Watson Leonard. He was a farmer.

He is listed on some web sites as Levi Watson Leonard, but the family Bible is clear that he was Levi H. Leonard.

A unique birth announcement from the Greenfield Gazette and Courier of Dec. 31, 1866 was as follows: "The last day of Dec., a very cold and inhospitable day, an individual came into the house of Collister Leonard entirely nude.  Although Mr. and Mrs. Leonard have kept house some 14 years, no such event has happened before.  They very cheerfully took the little fellow in, clothed him, fed him and are using their best endeavor to make a man of him."
