Bird Anson Leonard was born on 10 June 1853 in Pennline, Crawford, Pennsylvania. He and Alice Roberts were married in 1875 in Ohio. He died on 27 September 1919 at age 66 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He was buried on 30 September 1919 in Lake View.

They resided in Cleveland, OH (1896). In the 1900 Census, the family was living in Cleveland, and Bird was working an an engine inspector with the rail road. Bird Anson Leonard had person sources.¹ He was born on 17 July 1856.
