David Leonard was born about 1704 at North Precinct in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.

He moved with his family from Pomfret, CT, to Beekman Patent, Dutchess Co., NY, abt. 1736. He was taxed in Beekman Patent from 1739 to 1748 and appears to have been there at least until 1751.

He may have been the David Leonard who was a member of the Susquehanna Company and was taken in by Nathaniel Wales, Jr., ca. 28 August 1761. He purchased a whole share in the company. His ownership of ca. 2000 acres there was questioned in 1803 by Alexander Hunter. (Dougherty, The Settlers of the Beekman Patent, Vol. 8, p. 52).

A daughter, unnamed, of Arthur Aylesworth married a David Leonard in Dutchess Co., according to the Aylesworth genealogy.

Isaac Leonard was born about 1702 at North Precinct in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He died in March 1796 at age ~94 in Beekman, Dutchess County, New York.

He probably moved from Pomfret, CT, to Beekman Patent, Dutchess Co., NY, about 1736. He was taxed in Beekman 1739 to 1741. He may have been the Isaac Leonard who was a customer at the Brinkerhoff store in Fishkill, NY, ca. 1797 or the Isaac Leonard who died Mar 1796 in Beekman, Dutchess County, NY.

Thomas Leonard was born about 1706 at North Precinct in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He and Unknown were married about 1730.

He moved with his family from Pomfret, CT, to Beekman Patent, Dutchess Co., NY, about 1736. He was taxed in Beekman from 1739 to 1747. He settled on lot 3 (Pawling area) in 1744 on a 127 acre farm (Dougherty, The Settlers of the Beekman Patent, VIII, p. 53).

He could have had a son, Thomas, b. abt. 1755. Descendants of a Thomas b. in Washington Co., NY, include a David, Thomas, and Isaac, all of which run in Thomas' lines of descent. On the other hand, if he were born in 1706 and married in 1730, he probably wouldn't be having children born in the late 1760's. Missing a generation?

Chapman Seabury was born about 1800 in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He died on 8 January 1861 at age ~61 in Orleans, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.¹

Sarah Weeden was born on 25 April 1690. She died in December 1725 at age 35.

Daniel Weeden was born on 1 March 1696. He died on 7 December 1785 at age 89.

Joanna Slocum was born on 15 July 1702. She died on 14 September 1773 at age 71.

Jonathan Weeden was born in 1715 in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island. He died on 7 January 1721 at age ~6.
