Biography

Rowland Leonard was born on 14 March 1787 in Pomfret, Windsor County, Vermont. He and Polly Child were married on 18 February 1813 in Pomfret, Windsor County, Vermont. He died on 3 October 1856 at age 69 in Rochester, Windsor County, Vermont.

He owned farms in Stockbridge and Rochester, VT. He was a Justice of the Peace and from his familiarity with law forms was often engaged in attending law suits. He died of consumption (TB). Rowland Leonard had person sources.¹

Azro Buck Leonard was born on 10 April 1823 in Stockbridge, Vermont. He and Martha Trask were married on 27 November 1848.

In 1851 he moved to northern Wisconsin and engaged in the lumbering business. He resided 17 years in Eureka, WI, where all his children were born. He later became interested in the pine lands of Michigan, removed to Manistee, MI, and engaged in the manufacture of lumber in Manistee. Azro Buck Leonard had person sources.¹
