Bernard Leonard was born on 16 February 1777 in Bridgewater, Plymouth County Massachusetts.¹ He and Ann Bludworth were married on 10 January 1820 in Nachitoches, Louisiana. He died on 2 September 1834 at age 57 in Nachitoches, Louisiana.

He received an honorary degree from Brown University in 1804. He was a merchant in New Orleans and Natchitoches, LA, where he held the office of judge.

Biography

Linus Romulus Leonard was born on 11 August 1784 in Bridgewater, Plymouth County Massachusetts. He and Julia Ann Baker were married on 10 August 1819. He died on 5 September 1841 at age 57 in Brownsville, Tennessee.

He was a merchant, had a store in Baltimore, one also on Pamlico River, NC, but in 1814 removed to Madison, Indiana, where he was associated with his brother George W. for several years; afterwards was alone in 1833 removed to Brownsville, TN, where he continued in business until his death. Descendants of these brothers are in TN and SC. Linus Romulus Leonard had person sources.¹

George Washington Leonard was born on 8 February 1790 in Bridgewater, Plymouth County Massachusetts. He and Sarah Tucker Baker were married on 18 April 1821. He and Sarah Farnum were married in 1835.

He was engaged in mercantile business in the West and South, being at one time located in New Orleans, again in South Carolina, but finally in Madison, IN. He had $50,000 worth of real estate at the time of the 1850 Census, when he was living in Madison, Jefferson Co., IN with his wife and son and daughter. George Washington Leonard had person sources.¹
