From The Genealogy History and Alliances of the American House of Delano 1621 to 1899, It is supposed to be true that he asked Priscilla Mullins if she would marry Miles Standish and she said " why don't you speak for yourself, John." He was from London and was a cooper and sailed on the Mayflower and was a signer of the Mayflower Compact. He served as a magistrate for many years.
He moved to Duxbury in 1735.
He was married to Priscilla Molens MULLINS aka Molines on May 12 1622 in Plymouth, Plymouth, Massachusetts. John Alden was a Cooper.
