Thomas "Robert Treat" Paine was born on 9 December 1773 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He and Eliza Baker were married on 22 February 1795. He died on 13 November 1811 at age 37 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
Two years after his older brother died, he had his name legally changed to Robert Treat Paine, Jr., in his honor. He was a poet, editor of a literary journal, and interested in the theater. He and his wife had 3 children.

He was christened. He was buried in Duxbury, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts, USA. He has reference number 1HKM-FN. He is featured in Wadsworth's poem about Miles Standish. He sailed to New World as a Pilgrim on the Mayflower. He was hired in Southampton, England, as a cooper for the Mayflower.

From The Genealogy History and Alliances of the American House of Delano 1621 to 1899, It is supposed to be true that he asked Priscilla Mullins if she would marry Miles Standish and she said " why don't you speak for yourself, John." He was from London and was a cooper and sailed on the Mayflower and was a signer of the Mayflower Compact. He served as a magistrate for many years.

He moved to Duxbury in 1735.

He was married to Priscilla Molens MULLINS aka Molines on May 12 1622 in Plymouth, Plymouth, Massachusetts. John Alden was a Cooper.
